Cruising the web, you find some pretty interesting pieces on what people are doing in the sailing world. This interesting article made it all the way to CNN due to it's extremely crazy idea!
Aussie sailor, Sean Langman, will be attempting to break the 50-knot sailing speed record by doing it in his Wot Rocket...Say what?? The Wot Rocket, is half plane, half sailboat. Its design uses the technology of supercavitation, which means sailing just above the water in a gas bubble made by the water's deflection. Crazy right? The World Sailing Speed Record Council will be reviewing the boat's technology, and giving it the overall O.K. to attempt the record. To learn more go to CNN.com.
