The photo above is of the capsized trimaran 50' "Actual," during the 2009 Transat Jacques Vabre offshore Cherbourg Race off the coast of France. The boats crew of Yves Le Blevec and Jean Le Cam both representing France, were deemed safe after safety boats had arrived. This picture just goes to show, even on the biggest, most technical sailing vessels can make even the simplest mistakes. So always remember to keep those lifejackets zipped tight!
